The Blackshear

The Blackshear is a premier corner stateroom on the second floor, offering a Stately king bed and a distinctive sense of place. Located beside the hotel’s iconic “Crown Jewel” chandelier, this light-filled retreat features an armoire-style storage and timeless character.
Named for Kathleen Blackshear, a Navasota-born artist whose early works captured the hotel and its surroundings, the stateroom blends refined comfort with rich local history.

Tiny but mighty, The Pearl is our most intimate stateroom, thoughtfully designed for solo travelers or short stays. Located on the third floor, this petite retreat features two original stone walls and a front-row view of Railroad Street. A full-size bed faces a wall-mounted 50" smart TV, creating the perfect space to unwind.
Despite its size, The Pearl includes all the comforts of our larger staterooms, including a wet bar, mini fridge, Keurig, and blackout drapes—proof that luxury lives in the details.
The Big Boy
The Big Boy Penthouse is a one-of-a-kind Stately stay, offering space, history, and unmatched character. Located in the oldest building in Grimes County, this expansive three-bedroom suite features restored original wood floors, exquisite custom woodwork, and elegant furnishings throughout. The primary bedroom includes a private bath with a clawfoot tub and shower, a large walk-in closet, and access to an oversized private balcony overlooking Railroad Street—perfect for enjoying a glass of wine as the trains pass by.
The suite features one king and two queen-sized bedrooms. The queen bedrooms share a spacious bath with a large walk-in shower and no tub, while the king room features an elegant claw-foot tub and shower. A pull-out sofa, full-size Viking refrigerator, and private stair access to Hamer’s Speakeasy complete this unforgettable experience.
